Only 24 hours after posting the teaser trailer for the new live-action/CGI Lion King—on Thanksgiving no less—Disney already had a lot to celebrate. And the film doesn’t even hit theaters until next summer.

In 24 hours, the trailer got 224.6 million global views, making it the second most viewed trailer from any studio in that time frame.

Disney shared the good news on Instagram and thanked their whole “tribe” for watching the trailer.

The eagerly awaited remake comes from Jon Favreau, who also directed the live-action/CGI remake of The Jungle Book. And while the Lion King, thankfully, has James Earl Jones returning as the iconic Mufasa—its new star-studded cast has fans of the original and new audiences alike excited. Donald Glover, Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner are all set to voice familiar roles, as Simba, Pumbaa, and Timon, respectively. And then there is the woman that has everyone already prepared to throw their money at Disney: Beyoncé as Nala.

Disney has a few other remakes in the pipeline for 2019, including Tim Burton’s whimsical take on Dumbo and director Charlie Bean’s Lady and the Tramp (voiced by Tessa Thompson and Justin Theroux) which will likely help to launch Disney’s new streaming service and Netflix competitor, Disney+, later in the year.

If the excitement for the new Lion King’s trailer is any indication, it certainly seems like the film is going to clean up on its July 19, 2019 release.
