About me

Deciphering the latest nutrition news can be both overwhelming and frustrating. I’m here to simplify the nutrition space. As a dietitian, I work with patients via video call to help you reach your nutrition and health goals.

I earned my PhD in Metabolic Biology from UC Berkeley, where I conducted nutrition research, learned to critically evaluate nutrition studies, and taught an array of nutrition science courses. I completed my dietetic training at UCSF, where I counseled patients with a variety of needs, ranging from weight loss to gastrointestinal nutrition to eating disorder recovery. I currently work at Stanford on several nutrition research studies.

I combine my expertise as a scientist, dietitian, and teacher to educate and help you reach your nutrition goals - whether that be incorporating more healthy habits, improving relationship with food, fueling your athletic training, weight loss, and more.

Cate is really wonderful all around - kind, warm, non-judgmental, and easy to talk to, on top of a deep knowledge of nutrition and the up-to-date science behind it. With so much information available online, and lot of misinformation, it’s helpful to hear Cate’s take on my nutrition and the food I buy. I love how Cate can gracefully navigate talking at different levels, from understanding my goals to breaking down the science in a very easy way to understand.
