I’ve been obsessed with all of Valerie Madison’s jewelry for a long time. When it was time to buy my engagement ring, and weddings bands I knew exactly where we would be shopping. All the staff is super friendly and attentive, spending time in the shop is fun and I usually don’t want to leave. It goes without saying but our rings are gorgeous and perfect! I am super rough with my hands, and work with my hands and these rings withstand it all while remaining perfectly gorgeous. We didn’t get custom rings but I can only imagine how magical of a process that is. Our rings were already on the floor but don’t feel any less special or unique. I would’ve custom made the exact ring I found in the store, it was my dream ring already to go. For being on a budget we were able to get three rings and not have to settle. When we were picking out my engagement ring, we originally had an appointment at a large jeweler that has a Seattle location. After looking through their website and reviews the night before, I was no longer as excited to pick out a ring. Panicked, we searched for other options in the area. I am SO grateful we discovered Valerie Madison at that point- they even had an appointment the next day. The process of designing a custom ring with Amara was so fun and straightforward. We always looked forward to coming into the beautiful storefront. I am so happy with my sapphire engagement ring and am still dazzled by it over a year later! We also both got our wedding bands at VM and are extremely happy with the quality. You truly cannot go wrong here and it’s a great way to support a local, woman-owned business. You’ll get white glove service and a luxurious and unique product. One of the amazing things about Valerie Madison is a lot of her engagement rings are one of a kind, unlike a chain jeweler. Offer yourself or your special someone a symbol as irreplaceable as they are! After my fiancé selected my ring it was removed from the website (I know because I’m a sneaky little fiancée and wanted see how much he paid lol). I worked with Amara to select a wedding band to go with my ring and she was amazing!! We had several calls to discuss what was best and even worked through a couple of custom designs. Keep in mind we worked with the east coast / west coast time difference! I ultimately ended up ordering 2 rings online! And guess what! I received a call and email with a picture of what my stack would look like with the rings I selected so I could see before my order was filled! Turns out Amara saved me from selected a ring that would not fit in my stack! Thank you Amara!! I bought my rings on Black Friday and after my order was perfected VM still honored my Black Friday discount. 12/10 customer service!! Can’t wait to wear all my rings this July! Woo!

This shop is incredible! My husband and I both planned to propose to each other, so we each needed an engagement ring & a wedding band for the other. The staff was so warm, helpful, & accommodating the entire time, and made sure we understood everything about process and timeline. It’s also just beautiful in the shop and the jewelry feels like art. What was especially meaningful to me (as a multiracial person and in an interracial marriage) was shopping at a local, values-aligned business owned by a multiracial jewelry maker. I recommend VM to all my friends looking for engagement/wedding bands or other fine jewelry!

I designed my wife's ring through Valerie Madison in 2019.
We went there to look at rings and we were both drawn to the different styles of bands offered, and to the gem selection. None of the finished rings fit exactly what we wanted, but we were able to pick out a lavender spinel gemstone we both loved and glean which stylistic choices we preferred from the rings they had on hand.
Gemstone secured, I worked with them through email without my wife to pick out some ethically-sourced diamonds from Canada, and picked the band style, band material, and mounts for the stones. They send a CAD design once it was finished to get the final stamp of approval. I misinterpreted one element of the design so they walked me through any questions I had. Turns out they nailed it!
The timeline and price were super reasonable and the ring was perfect when I picked it up. I think there was a deposit involved with custom rings...maybe half once the design was approved and half on pickup?
Honestly I still can't believe how easy the process was. Everyone was super helpful the whole way through, and the ring hasn't had any issues five years later.

After following Valerie Madison for years on Instagram, I finally was able to get to the store. It's absolutely gorgeous. The pieces are STUNNING. I fell in love with everything I saw. The lovely lady who helped me was wonderful. She let me take my time and helped me with my selections. I decided to go with the Emerald Cut Pink Sapphire Demi Band, but was a little hesitant. Even though I loved it, I wished it was in white gold instead of yellow. Well, turned out they were more than happy to custom make my ring in White gold at no additional charge! A few short weeks later, I now have a beautiful ring I wear everyday that I constantly get compliments on. This was my first time shopping with Valerie Madison, but it certainly won't be the last!

I had been following their Instagram for a couple years and knew that should we ever choose to get married that this was the place for us. We had custom consultations with Amara, who is exceptional. She made the entire custom ring process feel so easy – and for someone who overthinks everything, I truly appreciated her attentiveness to creating the perfect rings for us.
The peach sapphire ring set they created is truly stunning. I was over the moon that Amara was able to blend two of my favorite styles from Valerie Madison into something unique for us, I cannot imagine having done anything different now!
