Balungile (who goes by the nickname “B”) is a dreamer and a global soul. Born and raised in South Africa, she is passionate about mission-driven brand-building. She has also been a lifelong writer, having had her earliest poetry published at the age of nine.

B enjoys coming up with fun ways to educate and engage children. She is the proud mother of an amazing boy, Emerson, for whom she ad libs short songs on a daily basis; his babbles and squeals are always a delightful reward.

B and her husband, Brendan, adopted two adorable cats named Ella and Louis, who are the inspiration behind her first children's book Two Jazzy Cats!

The family of five currently resides in a cramped yet love-filled condo in Chicago, Illinois.

    This is different. I'm not a jazz fan at all but this book isn't at all about jazz - the cats just have "jazzy" names. So really, anyone will "get it". Im pleasantly surprised to see the mention of Paws- we have rescued two dogs ourselves. Looking forward to adding this to our "repetoire" of bedtime stories for our girls.
