Such a disappointment with this dutch oven. I spent over $350 and had it less than one week and made two loves of bread when I noticed the knob oxidized terribly and the pain on the bottom of the dutch oven was chipping. Customer service was HORRIBLE. I had to be very persistent just to get them to let me return it for a new one. Multiple calls and emails, resulting in me paying for the shipping to have it replaced. The representative I spoke with said the paint chipping was most likely from me dragging it out of the oven. As she could see in the photos I sent in, the chipping was not from dragging, it just poor quality, or perhaps one that didn't cure correctly when they made it.

No, I do not recommend this product.

A must in every kitchen!

I could not be happy with my 7.25 qt LC Dutch oven (Sage). I’ve been wanting one for years. I make a lot of vegan dishes and it’s perfect for all my soups. The food tastes better, richer in flavor and every thing cooks faster. I am now on a quest to convert all my cookware over to LC. And as an added bonus: the sage matches my back splash to perfection!!

Yes, I recommend this product.

worst customer support on earth

i have been a loyal customer for 40 years and still have my original dutch oven. but over time it has some issues. When i called customer service they were not helpful at all. the handle cracked off the lid and i have to improvise. I too, had to take pictures of the damage and send them in. When my return got approved i had to pay for the shipping which is expensive. So much for life time guarantees. i have not sent my big dutch oven because i still use it almost everyday and honestly i do not think i will get a replacement for it and i cannot due without it. so i use a broken pot. i love the product but their customer service is awful.

Love the product Buy warranty is so disappointing

I love the brand and own several products. For the first time I had problems with the Dutch oven when the enamel started fading. After months of trying I was able to get in contact with customer service (tried email, message and calls for months). I had a case opened, shipped the pan (paying the cost), waited weeks and after calls and waiting times of 40 + minutes I finally received my pan back yesterday. For my surprise they sent me a pan where the lid has a major defect. It is scrapped in the side. After all the trouble and wait I am really disappointed. The product is great, but don't count on warranty in case you need to use it. First time I needed and here I am on hold AGAIN for 30 minutes AGAIN!

So disappointed - after 2nd use it broke

I got married recently and was thrilled to receive the Le Creuset Dutch oven I had put on my registry. I have wanted one for years and could not wait to use mine. After only one use, the second time I used it, it broke. I was making stew, using a wooden spoon to protect the interior, and the interior coating chipped off. We didn't notice until we had hard pieces of the coating in our mouths! To say that we were disappointed is an understatement. It was terrifying as eating the shard-like coating is extremely unsafe. I haven't yet decided what I'm going to do, but I wanted to start with this review. I knew what to do to take care of the Dutch oven and I did all the things and it still did this.

FALSE ADVERTISING

Was excited to add this to my cooking equipment and purchased this item directly from Le Creuset because they offered some additional items with purchase. False advertising!!! The package came without the additional item advertised on their website. I have emailed the company 4 times, each with no reply. I also tried to call only to wait on hold for nearly an hour before finally giving up. I do not believe this company actually has a customer service department. Just be aware you will get no help what-so-ever if your order is not correct. So very disappointing for a company that sells 'high end' products.

The product is awesome; however shortly after my purchase on their website, it went on sale 20% off. I emailed on their website and politely requested they offer me the for sale price. I received a single sentence email advising it would not happen (paraprasing) from their customer service rep for America. I received no thank you for your purchase. No politeness! I thought how many Alaskans (me) ordered a nearly $500 dutch oven directly from France! So, I responded I will not purchase directly from them again. Any follow up? Nope. The follow up is today and asking me to complete a review. Here is my review...again.

Don't waste your $$

Don't waste your money on this Dutch oven. That are better and more affordable brands out there. I used mine 2-3 times and it rusted!!!! Contacted customer service and they claimed they didn't have my color in stock (even though it was clearly available on the website). Asked to speak to a supervisor and after I followed up multiple times, never heard back. It also came with a dent on the outside, as shown in the picture! Bottom line is I am stuck with a brand new Dutch oven that is rusted and a dent, and their warranty is as useless as their customer service!
