Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2022 is just a few weeks away, and we're already excited to see the balloons, floats, and performances.

We know you're going to want to watch it live, if only to understand the memes and tweets. Also, there will be five new balloons this year, and no one wants to miss that. Move over, Santa, because Stuart the Minion is the new Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade king.

But how to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade? Read on for all the details.

What is the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade time?

The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will air from 9 a.m. to noon in all time zones. In case you missed the first airing because of peeling potatoes or tending to a turkey or a needy relative who didn't do their Thanksgiving shopping at Walmart in time, you can catch the rerun of the parade at 2 p.m.

What channel is the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on?

You can watch the 95th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade live on NBC. If you don't have a TV, you can livestream the parade on Peacock, NBC's website, or on the NBC app, but you'll need a TV provider to get access to the stream.

If you're a cable cutter, there are still plenty of options to stream the parade. First, you could beg a friend or relative to give you their TV-provider information. If they do, you can thank them—it is Thanksgiving, after all. If that's not an option, you can sign up for a free trial of services like Hulu+ Live TV, which adds a live-TV feature to your Hulu account. Currently, Hulu allows users a seven-day Hulu+ Live free trial, then it will charge you for the service. It's like having cable again, but on Hulu. YouTube TV is a similar service that also provides a free trial to new subscribers (so if you did this same thing last Thanksgiving, you won't get another free trial). For YouTube TV, free-trial time varies depending on the option you select.

Where can I watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2022 in person?

If it's convenient and you're in New York City, you can watch the parade from a Manhattan curb because spectators are once again welcome after 2020's ban due to the pandemic. That is managed by the NYPD along the parade's 2.5-mile route, which starts on the Upper West Side at West 77th Street and Central Park West at 9 a.m. ET and ends in Midtown at Macy's Herald Square at noon. See the whole Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade route at macys.com.

How do I get tickets to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade?

According to Macy's, limited seating areas are not available to the general public. Translation: Tickets are not for sale. To watch the parade, you must either find a spot along the route or tune in from home. At least at home you'd have more time to put the finishing touches on your Thanksgiving nails.

Who are the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade performers?

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade balloons are, let's be real, the real stars of the day. However, the musical acts always provide a nice supporting act. This year's lineup includes: Betty Who, Cam, Fitz and the Tantrums, Gloria, Sasha, and Emily Estefan, Jordin Sparks, Joss Stone, Kirk Franklin, Paula Abdul, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, and Ziggy Marley.

And after it's all done, we suggest keeping the watch party going. Target will be closed anyway—where else do you have to be? Turn on one of the best Thanksgiving movies for families or fire up our Thanksgiving music playlist.
