Wonderful Balm for Pets' Paws and People's Skin
Was introduced to this balm many years ago by dairy farmers who use it on their cows' udders and their own hands swearing that it worked wonder. After seeing petroleum jelly wasn't cutting it on dry dog paws or my own dry, winter-cracked fingertips, I decided to switch to Bag Balm. Sure enough, after using regularly, my dog's dry and rough paws as well as my own cracked fingertips softened considerably and most importantly healing with continued use. There is a slight odor probably due to the B-Hydroxyquinolone sulfate 0.3%, which makes it more potent than plain petroleum jelly.

My first experience with bag balm was in the 1970’s when my dad brought a tin home and used it on our hunting dog’s feet and snout. Seeing how quick the abrasions on the dog healed led me to try it on my pale white skin when I got sunburned. It took away the burn and sting and prevented any peeling that usually happened if I was sunburned. My husband was a softball player and he really liked to slide into bases which resulted in horrible raspberry abrasions on his thighs, legs and arms. I talked him into trying bag balm on them and he was amazed at how well it worked to relieve the pain and how quickly they healed. He used it continually after that and renamed it “wound weld”! When our son was born in 1997 I was adamant about not using the white pasty impossible-to-remove cream for diaper rash or powder to “prevent” diaper rash. We only used bag balm after changing his diaper and it worked better than I could have imagined - no diaper rash ever! And it would meld/evaporate into his bottom skin so there was no need for any scrubbing to get it off. It is always a staple in my home and my travel bag. Please try it - you’ll love it!!!

I've been using Bag Balm for over 50 years. It's great for calluses on your feet and dry skin on your hands. I just put a heavy coating on my feet and hands, put on socks and gloves, go to bed, and my skin is noticeably softer in the morning. It works WAY better than petroleum jelly!
