Why UConn can cover

The Huskies haven't had much difficulty during March Madness, winning each of their first five games by double figures and outscoring their opponents by an average of 20.6 points. The No. 4 seed in the West Region, UConn is the lowest-seeded team in history to post five double-digit victories in a single NCAA Tournament and only the fourth non-No. 1 seed to accomplish the feat. Adama Sanogo hit the 20-point mark for the third time in five games on Saturday as he led all players with 21 on 9-of-11 shooting.

The junior forward also pulled down 10 rebounds for his ninth double-double of the season and third of the Tournament. Sophomore guard Jordan Hawkins was the only other player in double figures against the Hurricanes as he finished with 13 points. Senior guard Tristen Newton dished out eight assists -- two fewer than the entire Miami roster -- while freshman forward Alex Karaban notched eight points and nine boards. See who to back at SportsLine

Why San Diego State can cover

Overcoming a deficit at intermission has not been a difficult chore for the Aztecs as they have won the last six games in which they trailed at the half and eight of 10 this season. The club was behind by seven points at halftime on Saturday and as many as 14 in the second half before it battled back to tie the game and ultimately defeat the Owls 72-71 on Lamont Butler's buzzer-beating jump shot. It was the second game-winning basket as time expired this campaign for the junior guard, who also made one on Feb. 25 at New Mexico.

Matt Bradley hit four 3-pointers against Florida Atlantic and led San Diego State with 21 points. It was Bradley's fourth 20-point performance of the season, the seventh by an Aztec in an NCAA Tournament contest and the second in this year's competition as fellow senior guard Darrion Trammell also scored 21 points versus Alabama. Senior forward Jaedon LeDee has scored in double figures in two of his last three contests as he came off the bench Saturday to post 12 points and six rebounds after also recording 12 points against the Crimson Tide. See who to back at SportsLine
