The Thompson Family has grown strawberries in Kenosha County, Wisconsin, for more than 70 years. But with 2020 being, well, 2020, current owner Scott Thompson and his family decided their community needed something extra to smile about. Twenty-two acres of sunflowers and more than 2 million blooms followed, with plenty of space to spread out and social distance. Families can visit Thompson Strawberry Farm to pick their own.

Every August and September, the Liberty Farm grows over 1.5 million sunflowers in their Sandyston, New Jersey, field, making it the state's largest sunflower destination. If you find yourself on a dreamy Hawaiian vacation, be sure to check out this DuPont Pioneer’s Waialua Sunflower Farm, a free attraction located on the North shore of Oahu, Hawaii. With several parking lots right next to the 20-acre field, this is a fun place to stop by and visit in November when the flowers peak. Parking will cost you $5, but you can feel good knowing all the money is donated to local schools.

The sunflower maze at L&A Family Farms is a must-see if you're in the Paris, Illinois, area in August. Though they're not available for picking (they're planted to promote and feed local wildlife), anyone can stop by to take photos.

While you won’t find miles and miles of sunflowers at the Longmont, Colorado, Sunflower Farm, you will find several sunflower patches to behold, along with a variety of other kid-friendly farm activities and plenty of farm animals to see.

The Sunflower Field in Autaugaville, Alabama
In 2016, this enormous, privately owned sunflower field become an internet sensation thanks in part to this incredible aerial video of the field that went viral. Now you can visit The Sunflower Field, which blooms in July, located at the intersection of Highway 14 and Highway 33 in Autaugaville, Alabama. All visitors should note that flower picking is not allowed. "We are just asking that no one cuts or picks the flowers. They are our livelihood," owner Todd Sheridan told the Montgomery Advertiser. However, cut flowers and produce are available for purchase, and admiring the field and photography are perfectly okay!
