We provide our dedicated audience of millions with reliable, non-partisan, information, informing and empowering them while fitting into their daily routines. Since disrupting the media landscape and defining a new category a decade ago, we have become a trusted source for our audience of millions by seamlessly integrating into their existing routines, fundamentally changing the way they consume news and make decisions. • Here at theSkimm we talk a lot about the challenges we face as women. One big one: Child care – access to it, affording it, and everything in between. Because we’re all about transparency, we wanted to show you some of the child care benefits that we offer to our employees. 💪That’s not all. We’re also partnering with Moms First (formerly Marshall Plan for Moms) to encourage other companies – big and small – to #ShowUsYourChildCare on social media. ➡️ To learn more about the campaign, click here: https://skimmth.is/3CAynX8

  • Have you noticed (and felt slightly alarmed) that everyone with a social media following or access to a microphone is suddenly a health expert lately? To help you navigate the flood of misinformation, our Skimm Well newsletter is coming to your inbox weekly from now on. We’re not going to push a magic pill or powder, swear that hydration cures all (though, yes, drink water), or pretend more protein is the answer to everything. We know that health and wellness priorities look different for everyone –– but the future of women’s health matters to us all. Our first weekly edition went out to subscribers this week and covers whether ChatGPT should be your therapist, the gym trend that has us running out of patience, and why we can all chill out about mouth tape. Give it a read, send it to the groupchat, and make sure you’re subscribed to hear from us next week https://lnkd.in/gqrZk4yW

  • 🏆 Big news: theSkimm x National Association of REALTORS®’s series “Making THE Move” just won Best Multi-Platform Video Campaign at the 2025 Digiday Awards. 🎬 The series spotlights three first-time homebuyers and sellers as they share their real (estate) stories and tips for buying in today’s market. • This week we asked our audience of Daily Skimm readers to weigh in on President Trump’s first 100 days in office  – and *17,000* of them took us up on our offer. The results gave us a closer look at how women specifically are experiencing this moment. From budget cuts to pregnancy plans, their anxieties aren’t just rising; they’re shaping their reality in real time. 💸73.5% have already adjusted their budgets for a potential recession 🏦83% say the Trump administration’s policies are affecting where they spend 👩⚕️91.4% don't believe the administration will make IVF more accessible Once again, we’re humbled by and proud of the connection we’ve built with our readers – millions of women who don’t just passively absorb our newsletters, but provide insights to help us serve them better. Read through the fascinating results of our Trump 100 days survey https://lnkd.in/eKYDsi7h

  • 📣 Just announced: theSkimm and National Association of REALTORS® 's new video series “Making THE Move” is a finalist in the 2025 Digiday Awards for Best Multi-Platform Video Campaign. 🏡 The series showcases the journeys of three women making major real estate moves for the first time—buying a fixer-upper, upgrading for a growing family, and navigating the complex rules of condo ownership. Our crew traveled across the country from NJ to Oklahoma to Chicago to interview first-time homebuyers, hear their experiences, and share tips for other Skimm'rs beginning their own real estate journeys. Congrats to everyone who helped bring this series to life. Wish us luck 🤞

  • Last year, theSkimm kicked off our "Don’t Wait" initiative by helping our audience book their vital preventative health care appointments. Next on our list? Curing their career woes. For the first installment of our 2025 hashtag #DontWait campaign, theSkimm is helping millennial women take the next step toward the Big Job – yes, even in this economy Why? Because when more women take on high-ranking positions, it not only impacts their long-term career trajectories and financial outlooks — it can also help shrink the gender gap in leadership and challenge unfair caregiving expectations. Plus, more women in leadership = more advocates for the rest of us. So don’t wait. Check out theSkimm’s hub of resources to help our audience level up their careers, whether they’re taking the first step or making the final push to get the Big Job - whatever that means to them. https://lnkd.in/dNgKDm2C

This week, the CDC removed several web pages and databases from their website for various public health topics, including contraception. So, after buying reproductiverightsdotgov. com last week, we’re back with another new site: We bought cdcdotgovcontraception.com to ensure women and health care providers have access to critical contraception content. It will redirect you to theSkimm, where you can access the content that was taken down and the preserved documents referenced in the archived CDC contraception information.

  • You might hear the word “menopause” and think, ‘That sounds far off for me.’ The reality, however, is that your body can start gearing up for menopause as early as your mid-30s. At theSkimm, we're dedicated to giving women the information they need to navigate these periods of their lives. This is why we hosted a virtual event with Dr. Thais Aliabadi on perimenopause and menopause. In a society that's long seen anything related to menopause as taboo, we're proud to have these discussions and keep women informed about what we can expect as we age.

In the days day after President Donald Trump began his second term, the government website outlining women's rights to abortion and contraception under US law disappeared from the internet. So we published the site’s content on a new domain, reproductiverightsdotgov .com (https://lnkd.in/gmcqZUJz) to ensure that the critical information and resources it outlined remain available to women and families.
