Everything was perfect except it’s chipped. The top of the container is chipped and that’s depressing because I really liked this product otherwise. I’m still going to use it and not return it because unfortunately the birthday that I bought it for is too soon for me to get a replacement in time And I also already started writing the little notes so I can’t return it. Hopefully the receiver of my gift will not notice and they’ll just be touched by the gift as cute as it is.I hand made one of these before, and I assumed that I should save myself some trouble by having all of the items easily accessible this time but I guess that’s what you get for not doing it yourself. The concept is adorable but unfortunately it didn’t turn out as perfect as I wanted it.

    I bought this for the little capsules and the paper already cut to size, so the jar and rings aren’t important to me, but my jar isn’t so easily giftable as is because my cork doesn’t fit, it’s too small, or rather too shallow. If I were to actually push the cork down so it was actually secure, there would be little remaining cork left, which would make it difficult to open again. So you can just rest it on top but if you knocked it over, it would fall off.

    The cork isn’t really durable either because the cork granules are coarse in the larger cork, so with repeated use, opening and closing the jar, it would definitely crumble.

    Would be perfect and five stars if this jar had a screw top or some other type of closure.

    A way around this would be to toss the cork entirely and cover the jar with a cute little square of fabric and tie a bowl off around the neck of the jar.

    But the paper already comes the right size, and it’s in a little sticky note type binding with the edge sealed to hold them all together. Very easy to take off and write a little note.

    The little metal rings are to keep the note from unrolling in the capsule but they’re not necessary if you don’t want to use them.

    The capsules are little gelatin capsules, like the same kind used in actual medication, so just be mindful not to let them get wet or else they’ll start to dissolve.

    Great overall, I got these to write little notes for my partner who is currently living far from me, I hope he likes it!
