With seasonal TikTok trends like Tomato Girl summer and Christian Girl autumn catching on, it was only a matter of time until Gen Z created a trendy TikTok aesthetic for Christmastime, too. Meet the Gingerbread Girl aesthetic.

In short, the Gingerbread Girl aesthetic is a holiday take on Cottagecore. It's got all the same ruffled white fabrics, crafty lace trims and grandmotherly knits, and the same nostalgia for sentimental keepsakes, artisanal products and DIY projects. But, similar to Vanilla Girls, the trend extends far beyond fragrance and lip gloss flavors to include fashion, beauty, home decor and baking. A Gingerbread Girl doesn't just eat gingerbread cookies and make gingerbread houses. She wears spicy perfume and warm brown eyeshadow, decorates her home with gingham prints and fluffy, frosting-like textures and wears mostly brown and white.

While this holiday season may mark the first Gingerbread Girl winter, the shopping trends analysts at Firstfinds say it certainly won't be the last. They note that Etsy, a reliable predictor of upcoming TikTok trends, recognized the gingerbread aesthetic as a key winter fashion and lifestyle trend. One that smells good AF.
