I tried this on a whim and found out that it is wonderful. It's savory, a bit hot, and crunchy. It adds a great flavor to anything you put it on, and it looks really pretty. I've used it in place of ketchup (on eggs, hotdogs, hamburgers, cold-cut and grilled-cheese sandwiches). It's great on potatoes (white, sweet) and rice. Toast, cream cheese, and Lao Gan Ma make a great combination. It's great on a spoon straight from the jar. It perked up my peanut-butter satay sauce. I've tried the Trader Joe version of chili crisp, and while it was good, it just didn't compare to this brand. This brand even stands head and shoulders above the Momofuku brand. This brand has a complexity and depth of flavor the other brands just didn't have. If you're on the fence, get it--it's worth it!
