Picture this: It’s the year 2012, and Lenny Kravitz steps out for a nice crisp walk in New York City. He’s dressed in a leather coat, knit beanie, and fringed scarf—only, his brown knit scarf is so large that it almost looks like he threw a blanket over his shoulders. The oversized accessory instantly went viral and ignited thousands of memes, where Internet users with too much time on their hands proceeded to Photoshop the scarf bigger and bigger. “I cannot escape this [scarf,]” joked Kravitz back in 2018. But now, Kravitz is in on the joke: He just joined TikTok, and revived that iconic scarf for his very first post.

Posted over the weekend, Kravitz’s debut TikTok sees him walking through the park wearing the original XXL brown scarf in question. “Grab your big scarf, it’s the first day of fall,” he says. This time, he sported it with a sleek leather zip-up jacket, flared jeans, and suede boots. It’s a pretty iconic move for him to revive such a polarizing accessory—and TikTok, obviously, loved it. “I can’t imagine anyone else I’d rather have tell me that it’s the first day of fall,” one fan commented. “Lenny Kravitz is my PSL,” joked another. But perhaps the best comment was this one: “Lenny Kravitz is our Mariah Carey for fall.” Because if Mariah’s the queen of Christmas, Lenny’s obviously the king of cozy.
