Jessica Alba isn’t stepping back in the dating world after her breakup with Cash Warren just yet.

While rumors linking the Sin City star with comedian Alex Edelman surfaced after she was seen wearing his coat as they left the Vanity Fair Oscars party together March 2, E! News has learned that the duo are not, in fact, an item.

“They are not dating,” a source with knowledge of the situation told E! News. “They met walking to their cars at the end of the night and he offered her his jacket because she was freezing before they went their separate ways.”

A second source also echoed the sentiment, telling E! News that Alex is simply “a friend of the friend” of Jessica’s.
